BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Angela Chalk is the Founder and the Executive Director of Healthy Community Services, a nonprofit dedicated to improving public health and climate resilience in New Orleans. A fourth-generation 7th Ward resident, she has led initiatives addressing urban flooding, food insecurity, and environmental health equity.

Angela has served as the President of the Louisiana Public Health Association and on national committees focused on climate and health. She also advises leading environmental organizations and promotes community-driven strategies for sustainable, flood-ready neighbourhoods.
